Painting is My Last Option

Painting is my last option. I know other people love painting and using their cool paint sprayers. I’m different though. I really believe that painting looks unnatural and that it should be your last option.

When you look at my house, you see wooden walls. You see tiles. At other areas, you see marble floors. These are impossible to paint. You should never paint them because no amount of paint can ever capture this look. It’s the natural look. I just don’t believe paint can replicate it. The natural look is just the most beautiful style that your home can adopt.

I can see why people would want to use paint sprayers. I honestly understand. I know how paint can chip, and you’d want to make it look brand new again. However, I don’t like it. It’s simply a matter of personal preference.

If you have never thought about it before, try getting wooden walls or floors. Your house will look so beautiful. I don’t think any paint sprayer can ever dream of achieving the same results.

I used to think that glass tile was only for bathrooms and kitchens. Then I bought my new house. I loved the window seat in the spare bedroom, but I didn’t like the way it was finished. The paint looked cheap and ruined the effect. I talked to a few people about it and one of my friends suggested that I cover the sides and seat of the window seat in glass tile. I thought he must be crazy, but I decided to give it a look anyway. When I saw the selections of glass tile available, I knew that I had been wrong about the tile. It was perfect. I chose tiles in a beautiful sky blue color and hung soft gauzy curtains over the top of the window. The result was beautiful and dreamy. I put a few small pillows on the seat and now I lounge there whenever I want to sit quietly and read. It is my little hideaway in my nomally crazy life.

I love collecting them and now have a room in my large, expensive house that is dedicated to just cacti. There are thick blinds all the way around the room so that night I can lower the blinds and recreate the conditions of a desert at night. This helps to make the cacti grow much bigger than if they were simply left on a window sill. I love the small cacti with thousands of tiny spines. The detail and scale of them amazes me. I often left my grandchildren come in to the room with me, not to touch the plants because that would be just too dangerous, but to let them look at all the different types. My wife thinks I am growing old and barmy but I am not, I love being able to create a whole different world inside my house in London.
